Yuma Drive-Ins
I grew up in Yuma, AZ and I’m very familiar with all the drive-ins there. The drive-in you couldn’t find is called the SILVER SPUR DRIVE-IN at the corner of 24th St. and 8th Ave. It was closed in the early 1960s and eventually torn down. The other 2 drive-ins were the MESA DRIVE-IN (which opened in 1948 and torn down in 1972 and located at the 2600 block of S. 4th Ave) and the CREST DRIVE-IN (which opened in the early 1960s and torn down in 1988 and located around 700 E. 32nd St. also known as Hwy 8).
