Jim, this photo is from Google and is fairly recent. I was at the site about four months ago, and it has largely been overtaken by vegetation. When you stand at the projection booth, the screen tower is obscured by pine trees. In fact, there are so many pines now that when I was there taking photos, I could not find a perspective where I could get a clean shot of the screen. It is hard to find because of this, as it is difficult to see from the road. It is located about halfway from Daingerfield and Lone Star, TX on US Hwy. 259.

Your location for the Lone Star is a little off, as it was not right in the town. It was between Lone Star and Daingerfield, TX. I have a satellite photo of the theater location that is fairly recent.
Just to let you know there was a drive in located ajancent to the Willowbrook Mall just west of RT 23 {South Of Rt 46} on Willowbrook Blvd, called the Anthony Wayne Drive In. I was there in 1969 to see a James Bond movie....Diamonds Are Forever and it was paired with A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To The Forum.....after it has been 40 years so the movie titles might be wrong, but I could show you the place where it was.

Sadly, the Mission Drive-In here in San Antonio is no longer. Santikos Theaters, who owned the drive-in, sold the land to the city of San Antonio, who are turning the space into a much needed library for the south side. they will save part of the existing structure since it is part of the history of the city and it is in a historic district (just blocks away from Mission San Jose).

I can help a little bit with some of the WA drive-ins.

For starters, the town isn't 'Bothwell'--it's Bothell. And yes, that drive-in was in Kenmore, but at that time Kenmore was just a neighborhood, and considered part of Bothell. I suspect all mail for Kenmore went through the Bothell post office at that time.

Centralia--it is or was called 'Twin City Drive-In' because Centralia and Chehalis are close enough that their city limits abut, thus they're one of many pairs using 'Twin Cities' as self-descriptive.
(Twin Towns is more like it)

Everett
The Puget Park Drive-in's location is most easily given as 'just south of the intersection of I-5 and 128th St. SE'. If you go to Google Maps and zoom down to that intersection, then go to satellite, you get a nice pic of the place.

I don't know anything about the one in Beverly Park--it was long gone before I spent any time in the area. Same for the one(s) by the Snohomish River.

Kent
According to http://driveintheater.com/list/washingt.htm the El Rancho--which is indeed in Kent; SE Kent, if you will--is dead. It shows up nicely on the most recent satellite pic on Google Maps; maybe I'll drive over there this weekend.

The Midway, sadly, is almost completely gone now. Was a big site for swapmeets for a long time.

Seattle
I can give you the intersection to look at for where the Aurora Drive-In used to be, but there are no signs of it any more.

135th and Aurora Ave N.--the drive-in used to be where the big warehouse store is now, just NE of that intersection.

The Duwamish I never went to, and didn't spend time in that part of town, so no help there.

Oh, and in Oregon--the drive-in just north of Milton-Freewater was, I think, named the Starlite. I used to ride my bicycle over there when I was 11 to 15 years old. That'd be the 2nd half of the '50s.

The theater was located on Rt. 1 in Rockport. It closed in the late 80s, and was torn down sometime between 1992 and 1995; a garden center sits on the site now, and no trace remains. If you find any photos of this DI, please post them, as I\'ve been searching for pictures of this DI, where I grew up, but have yet to find one.
